Licensed Practical Nurse
Job description
- Perform nursing processes and support services
- Assist with activities associated in onboarding new facilities such as collection of resident information and medical records
- Makes physical rounds in assigned area to evaluate care and interact with care givers and patients/residents
- Provides direct care in line with the responsibilities of a nurse, evaluating conditions, communicating and carrying out nursing functions according to the needs of the patients
- Accurately documents patient/resident condition including evaluations, communication and care provided
- May provide direct care including medication pass, nursing care, documentation and treatments
- Evaluates performance of nursing assistants and trained medication aides
- May responds and coordinates actions in emergency situations
- You provide education through in-services to facility staff on different types of therapy, pumps and equipment
- You may lead and approve Continuing Education (CE) offerings
SKILLS, CERTIFICATION AND REQUIREMENT
- Ability to recognize and effectively respond to cultural differences of residents
- Must be licensed as a LPN
- Good written and oral communication skills human relation skill
- Current LPN License with 3 years’ experience or more
- Good communication skill
- Clean background and criminal record
- Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
- Regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations
- Ability to meet medical needs of individuals
- Ability to meet psychological needs of individuals
- Knowledge of industry best practices/standards
- Knowledge of clinical resources
- Knowledge of LPN body of knowledge
- Knowledge of medical resources
